For international & non-native English pilots

Aviation English competency

ICAO-oriented English for the flight deck and the radio — phraseology, plain language under pressure, and the confidence to handle FAA / ATC communication clearly.

Why pilots book this

English that works when the frequency is busy

General English classes don’t teach “say again,” holding instructions, or how to explain an abnormality to ATC. This does — taught by a working captain who briefs and flies in English every day.

Radiotelephony

Standard ICAO / FAA phraseology, readbacks, and the words you need when the script runs out.

Plain language

Explain weather, delays, and non-normals clearly — the skill that separates Level 4 from “please say again.”

Checkride & ops ready

Oral-exam vocabulary, airport / airspace talk, and confidence for U.S. training or airline ops.

Curriculum

What sessions cover

  1. ICAO language frameworkPronunciation, structure, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, interactions — how Level 4+ is judged.
  2. Standard phraseology drillsClearances, taxi, takeoff, approach, missed approach, and common “trap” readbacks.
  3. Non-routine & emergency EnglishPractice explaining problems calmly when the checklist language isn’t enough.
  4. Weather & operational vocabularyMETARs, TAFs, holdovers, NOTAMs — spoken, not just read.
  5. U.S. ATC & training environmentClass B/C patterns, flight-following, and how American controllers actually talk.
  6. Mock oral / interview practiceTimed questions like a DPE or company interview — with correction, not just conversation.

Official ICAO language-proficiency tests are issued by approved organizations. We prepare you for the language demands of those environments and for real-world ops.
